We enjoyed seeing everyone Wednesday in honor of our first quarter awards assembly. The students truly enjoyed our first behavior incentive for the first quarter, a hay ride around Page Jackson! We can't wait to celebrate many more milestones with your children.
Thank you to all who participated in our Red Ribbon Week reinforcing healthy choices for our bodies. Thank you Mrs. DuVal for coordinating this event.

At Page Jackson Elementary School, we believe that every Panda matters, every school day counts, and every moment is an opportunity to learn and grow! We love seeing our hallways filled with smiling faces, hearing laughter in our classrooms, and watching our students arrive ready for another exciting day of learning.
Today was an extra special day at Page Jackson Elementary School! We had not one, but TWO very special Pandas visit our school! 🐼🐼 Our special visitors helped bring excitement, smiles, and Panda pride to our students while reminding everyone just how important it is to come to school each day!
Our Pandas were excited to see these special guests, and their visit was a wonderful way to celebrate the importance of showing up, being ready to learn, and making every school day count!
Why Is Attendance So Important?
Regular school attendance plays a major role in a child's educational success. Every day students attend school is another opportunity to learn something new, build friendships, develop confidence, and create lasting memories.
When students are at school consistently, they strengthen their reading, writing, and math skills while building important relationships with their teachers and classmates.
Did you know that missing just two days of school each month can add up to nearly 20 missed days throughout the school year? That's a lot of valuable learning time!

I enjoyed seeing Kindergarten starting to recognize familiar sounds that our alphabet letters make, in first grade students were actively learning the fundamentals of writing legibly and accurately, in second grade I saw students practicing sentence writing with familiar spelling patterns ensuring correct punctuation and capitalization! It is hard to believe we are ending October, I do feel like I blinked and it was over. The upcoming week, our final week of October is a very busy one as we celebrate the end of the first quarter and recognize healthy choices during Red Ribbon Week!
Thank you to all parents who supported our Chestnut Candle Fundraiser. We earned a lot of money that will be used to support instructional initiatives at Page Jackson!

Don't forget we have a lot going on at Page during the month of October! Our basket raffle, trunk or treat, and candle fundraiser are all happening now through our PTVO!

Each classroom is putting together a special Fall-Themed Basket, and we would love for families to donate items to help fill their student’s classroom basket. Every donation, big or small, helps create an amazing basket and supports our students and classrooms! ❤️🐼

What an amazing week as we are starting to wrap up our color weeks for Kindergarten. So many fun things coming up during the fall at Page Jackson! Below are some highlights!
Have you joined the school store fundraiser? We sent paperwork home and it is so easy, just share with family and friends and they can donate gift cards throughout the school year. Teachers are so grateful for your support! You can also donate to our ECCATs under the teacher name you can specify who you are donating to.
Our Fall Festival and Trunk or Treat will be on Friday, October 16th. Please donate fall items to create a basket for our raffle. The proceeds will benefit our PTVO which directly benefit instruction.
Our candle fundraiser is launching. I love Chestnut Hill Candles. These fundraisers are optional, but all proceeds come back into the school!
We have been practicing our Standard Response Protocol. While these are practice drills, we encourage you to discuss these drills with your children!
Want to Volunteer? There are three opportunities for you. The first was today at 9:30 a.m. at Page Jackson at 9:30 a.m. You only have to complete this training one time while you are at Page, but you must complete the training in order to volunteer. If you completed training you should have received a packet to fill out and do not need to attend in person or online.
The next trainings will be on Thursday, September 24 in person at 5 p.m. and on Friday, October 2 at 11 a.m. via Teams we will send out a link as we get closer.
A HUGE THANK YOU TO OUR K KIDS AND FAMILIES FOR PARTICIPATING IN OUR DAY OF CARING. YOUR HARD WORK DID NOT GO UNNOTICED.

We kicked off our I Ready testing in first and second grade to gather data on how to ensure your child is getting exactly what they need in Reading, Writing, and Math. We will be using this data to inform instructional decisions. While this data is integral in planning. so is our day to day observation and formative assessments that guide your child's learning path. Look for more information on I ready at our first parent teacher conference night in October.
I cannot believe we have made it through the first 4.5 weeks of school. Today a letter came home in lieu of a progress report to let you know what we have been learning at the beginning of school. In primary grades we do not send home a progress report the first quarter.

Just a reminder that you are invited starting this week to enjoy lunch with your child. The lunch schedule can be found on our website. Mondays are for kindergarten only and lunch is 12:25-12:55 p.m. First grade is on Tuesday and lunch is from 11:50-12:20, and Second is on Wednesdays from 11:15-11:45. YOU MUST HAVE A VALID PHOTO ID OR YOU WILL NOT BE PERMITTED. YOU CAN ONLY BRING IN OUTSIDE LUNCH FOR YOUR STUDENTS. YOU MAY NOT BRING A SIBLING NO MATTER THEIR AGE.
You should arrive 5-10 min prior to lunch and if you are purchasing a school lunch make your child's teacher aware as well as bring in exact change for lunch. If you have not turned in your student information sheets you will be getting a paper copy to fill out so we can update our records.

It is hard to believe we are ending August and starting September. We have successfully completed the first two weeks of school and are ready to start Week 3.
Have you filled out our online student information updates? WE MUST HAVE THESE AS WE UPDATE OUR DATA BASE AND NEED TO KNOW HOW WE CONTACT YOU WHEN NEEDED. NEED HELP? STOP BY OUR OFFICE WE WILL HELP YOU COMPLETE THIS TASK!

In week three, we will continue reinforcing our school expectations, Pandas have P.A.W.S. We will begin assigning consequences for when students do not adhere to these expectations. We have a positive not punitive approach to our consequences.
You should receive a paper with our attendance motto "Strive for Less than 5." On the paper is our text line that directly connects you to Attendance Pro. This is the platform to upload doctor's notes and communicate with our attendance clerk, Ms. Teresa.
You are allotted 5 parent notes each semester. It is important we have students here daily and on time. Have attendance questions? E mail Ms. Teresa or call our front office.
