What a fun week of learning! Don't forget this weekend we FALL back as our time changes! Today, we kicked off our RED zone in our Zones of Regulation. Ask your child how their body feels when they are in the RED zone and compare it to being in the GREEN zone! What are some strategies we can use when we are feeling RED?

It's FRIDAY! We had another amazing week. Thank you to all who came out for Parent Teacher Conferences. Just a reminder that we start our day promptly at 9 a.m. We need all students here and on time. We start our W.I.N. promptly at 9:08. Any student needing breakfast needs to be finished eating at 9 a.m.
We are finishing up our first lessons on our zones of regulation. Ask your child what it means when you are in the green zone. Up next, is RED. We will kick off RED on Friday, November 1, 2024. We will be working on red the whole month of November and how to de-escalate.
Next week is Red Ribbon Week! Please see below for the days we will be honoring saying no to drugs!

Report cards were issued today. We are so proud of our Pandas! Don't forget we use a standards based report card. The standards are taught all year long, therefore your child may get a "D" as they are developing a concept, which may mean this is the very first time they are seeing this being taught!

📢 Join the Hispanic/Latino Association of JCS this Friday, October 18, for an informative presentation! Families are invited to learn about Canvas, Rooms, attendance policies, and the JVA Program, plus information about HLA! Enjoy music, games, and refreshments. Food will also be available for a small donation. All ages are welcome!

The first quarter officially ended today! It has flown by and we are making progress academically and socially/emotionally! We will continue GOING GREEN in October with our Zones of Regulation lessons focusing on what it means to be in the green zone! Please wear Green on Fridays!
We had a successful fall picture day on Wednesday and a QR code with ordering instructions for Jostens was sent home on Monday (10/7). Unsure of what to do next, please contact our front office and we will be happy to assist you! Missed pictures? Picture retakes and make ups will be 11/6.

It is Friday and we have finally seen the sun and managed to get out on the playground. A lot is going on the month of October at Page! We completed our volunteer trainings. Thank you to everyone who participated! We are still working on letters and I will be working on getting information out to our approved volunteers as soon as we have everyone approved! Just a couple of items, when you are in the car drop off lane, it is a NO PASSING zone! Please do not pass cars!

Tuesday we will be launching WIN time school wide! WIN is What I Need that addresses closing or enriching skills gaps in Literacy! We can't wait to allow your students to move to various classrooms based on skills! This is our model for targeted intervention as defined in the West Virginia Policy on Tiered Systems of Support!

We had another great week! We practiced fire drills, our K Kids participated in the day of caring, and we continued enjoying learning our colors by wearing a color a day! Just a few updates:
ROOMS--Have you joined? A step by step instruction guide has gone home. If you need help, call the front office or stop by!
Attendance--September is ATTENDANCE awareness month. We think it is SO important that we have our students here on time and ready to learn each day! If they are sick, of course use our reporting platform to send us a message where you can upload a drs. note immediately. Have questions about attendance or need help? Call Ms. Lisa at 304-728-9212.
Fundraiser--Our first fundraiser is up and running. it is SO simple, log in, add some e mails and send the folder back in and your child wins a prize. Participate by donating gift cards teachers can use to purchase instructional materials.
Volunteer Training: Our first training is Monday, 9/16 in our cafe from 5-6. We look forward to seeing you there.
School Safety--This i s a priority. You must report to the front door, have a valid photo ID, and sign in if you are coming into school Even if we see you daily we will check your ID. We want to keep students and staff safe!

TGIF! We have had such an outstanding third week of school! The students are continuing to learn about our PBIS (Positive Behavioral Intervention Supports) program that promotes positive behavior through teaching expectations. We believe if you want, teach it! Today we launched PBIS with our kick off assembly! We were even visited by our Panda Mascot! Ask your child what the expectations are in each area of the building. Ask them what the PAWS pledge is they state daily!
We also are launching Attendance Awareness month during the month of September. It is paramount your child comes to school on time and stays for the entire instructional day unless they are sick! We have new attendance incentives in place and you can always reach out to Mrs. Stuart our attendance clerk with any questions or concerns.
Have you joined our PTVO (Parent Teacher Volunteer Organization)? Our first meeting will be here on 9/9 at PJE Cafeteria. Come to hear more about how you can be a vital part of your child's education!
